Verucca or something else?

Hi, I've been putting treatment on my son's foot since march, filing it, re applying treatment, but it seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Not sure whether to bother the GP about it. It's really really painful for him to walk on it now. I'm now doubting that it's even a verruca?? Thanks

That's exactly what I was given 😊
@roses2 any mail varnish??
Yes any nail polish - I used clear so as not to stain the carpet in case he walked on it straight after!

Agree with nail polish, worked a treat on my DS ones, he had 5 on one foot... less than week with nail polish and all gone

Yes looks like a verruca. Ds had one a couple of months ago and we used bazuka and it took about 4 weeks for it to completely disappear

lemmywinks84 · 06/11/2020 22:49

It took 8 years of bazuka / salactol / filing / mine and it's just gone this week!

I've had others for 12+ years.

My dd has a verruca but it wasn't a very big one. I've been treating it with the gel for around 5 weeks now. I picked the hard gel off the top tonight and she pulled her foot away and this like core came out, it bled quite a lot which stopped quite quickly with foot up and pressure. She went off to sleep ok but I'm not sure what will happen next. I feel terrible for her and really hope she isn't in pain tomorrow. Any ideas what it is? Have I just pulled the verruca out? It was white but the actual top had a few black spots.

@23Scanner I'd say that sounds positive! You really have to get in there with them in order to bring them to an end.

BluebellsGreenbells · 17/11/2020 23:50

OP you can buy that stuff. I ordered some last week. It’s working!

BluebellsGreenbells · 17/11/2020 23:51

Oh and I read that the body ignores one, getting another is useful because it kickstarts the bodies response and helps clears them.

Scanner20 · 18/11/2020 00:09

@Bmidreams I hope so, I'm sure the gel must have done something or her body was fighting it as it wouldn't just come out so easily surly. I do feel terrible about it though. It doesn't look very nice and we popped a plaster on it (as plasters make it all better!) it's in the arch of her foot so I'm hoping as no pressure on it when she's up and it heals quickly
