Bright red blood after poo

DD is 9 and this happened about a year ago and we managed it with apple juice and fruit. I think with the half term we had more junk less moving and fruit and it happened again.
Shes ok, copes well with it but shes pooing every usually daily and they are hard and the small split is not getting time to heal.

She has wholemeal wraps for lunch, wholegrain rice we do have white past maybe once a week.
What would be best to soften her stool and give her time to heal. I would prefer the natural route not medication unless we have too.
Advice appreciated

Make sure she's will hydrated, that makes a big difference, and call the GP, that's not good and prescribed laxatives in the short term might be what she needs to heal. It might also prompt other questions around other causes of the bleeding that would be good to rule out.

She drinks well, and you can see the little split in her anus creases, im sure its not sinister, her poos are large, she might need laxatives I agree.

Have you seen a doctor? Please don’t rely on mn for medical advice. If that split becomes infected things could quickly escalate.

Sounds like an anal fissure which is normally treated with movicol or similar. Might be worth to be examined by a GP
