Blood in stool

My 3.5 month old started having blood in her stool about a month ago. I sent a photo to the health visitor and she was also concerned about the mucus.
She since had a stool sample tested and had a blood test, both were "normal" according to GP, except iron was slightly high and Hb slightly low though both in normal range...

I've been off dairy for 4 weeks now to little to no improvement - still lots of mucus, green stool, occasional specks of blood but that's all it was - very small specks, past few days there was no blood, colour was returning to the mustard yellow, and then today suddenly her third stool in the morning had this big blob of blood, like lots of streaks together, not all uniform, but big maybe 4 cm diameter and then the next one was a few streaks but much bigger than they used to be... lots of mucus... anyone had this issue? What could it be?

LO weeks fairly happy, sometimes slightly fussy though I think she could be starting to teethe as she holds her ear more and more... waiting for a call from the paediatrician but wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and it been nothing serious 😭

I presume, from your mention of going dairy free that you're exclusively breastfeeding? Might be worth trying going soya free as well, as some babies that are sensitive to cows milk protein also have a problem with soya.

Hi, has she had an upset tummy, which came before this? My little one had a tummy virus at a similar age. She also had blood in her nappy. And green snotty stuff too. It went on around 3 or 4 weeks!
The gp was lovely and explained that she had a tummy bug and as a result she had been going to the loo a lot, and that in a baby that age the area can be really sensitive a bit like when you brush your teeth too hard and your gums bleed.
I was breast feeding at the time and he recommended giving her diarolalite (sorry I can't spell it) to help flush the bug through, she probably had two doses of that but then just plenty of breast feeding and it did stop and went away.
