6 year old going to loo a lot

Does anyone have any advice on this? My son (age 6) seems to be going to the loo, just for a wee, a lot. He does it at home i(it seems to coincide with when he doesn't' want to do something) but school mentioned it today so he is clearly doing it there too.
I don't know if he's actually weeing or just going for something to do!
Suggestions please.....

Are the increased toilet trips the only change? If not is he more tired than normal, lost any weight, seems thirstier?
Increased urination is one of the four Ts of Type 1 diabetes. If in any doubt then get to GP with a urine sample as T1 can progress really quickly.
Hopefully not this but worth keeping an eye out for any signs of the other three Ts just in case.

And if not Diabetes he certainly needs to be checked for a UTI

I was like that when I was little do got tested for diabetes, I didn't have it and still don't but I still go to the toilet a lot

I would definitely get your child seen to be a GP though

probably just an avoidance 0f work tactic, but might be worth a doc trip (if you can get in ) to rule out other problems

Can you go with him when he's at home to listen to how much he seems to be weeing? Infections tend to make us wee often but only small amounts. Diabetes perhaps but a GP visit is definitely needed.

Have you spoken to him about it at all? If you think it's an avoidance tactic he might stop if he realises you know. It could also be an anxiety thing. I know I need to wee about every half hour when I'm feeling anxious!
