About one cm long and looks sort of like a maggot 😱 no other symptoms and only one seen. Have given the threadworm treatment although I don't think that's what this is. Please help 🥺

OP I hope all ok. Definitely looks like a maggot and not a usual ‘worm’ found in poo so I hope you’re getting further medical advice ?

Is he OK? Did you manage to talk to a GP?

Rebelwithallthecause · 28/09/2020 21:35

🤢 Definitely not a worm

Could your child have been out in the yard? That looks too big to be a fly maggot. Summers in the south, you see a lot of them. However that does look like a grub with the brown head and curled up body. I think I saw legs at the end of it? I’m not sure but please do tell what happened if this even is long passed

@BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney I know this is a very old post. I saw a similar worm in my baby's poop. He is 18 months old. I am really worried. I have an appointment with his paediatric gastroenterologist tomorrow. Can you please tell me what happened after that? What did the doctor say?
