Can anyone recommend a chewable multivitamin for a 2 year old?

Been using a multivitamin liquid for quite a while in his milk but often he won't drink all of it and as we are vegetarian I really want to make sure he is having his supplements!

Have seen Zarbees toddler multivitamin and Kirkland signature multivitamins online which both say they can be used from 2years old but I have not heard of either of these brands before. Just wondering if anyone has used them or can recommend a chewable one that's safe to use from 2 (most of the ones I've seen are from 3years)?

Needs to have vitamin B12, Iron, vit D, and Zinc included.

Thank you.

Following as I'd love to know too Smile

No answers but following for the same thing! Would have no problem getting my toddler to consume a chewy vitamin but he won't touch the liquid. Can't hide it anything. Every chewy vitamins I've seen so far are 3+!

When they were two, my children had the Haliborange range which is aimed at 3+ but I think that’s to do with a choking risk than the content. You could cut the chewy sweet up to reduce that risk if you wanted. They clearly taste nice as they still ask for them now.

I just squirt it straight from the syringe into my 4 year old and 19 month olds mouth

Puppyinmypocketwasthebest · 18/09/2020 20:17

I bought Nature's Plus Animal Parade. They are expensive and messy but my toddler will eat them (look like little animal sweets) albeit slowly and stickily

I'm not keen on a multivitamin all the time for a toddler but we used it for a period of time on recommendation

Puppyinmypocketwasthebest · 18/09/2020 20:18

They aren't chewy like gummies but more like a refresher sweet if you see what I mean

Katnissx · 18/09/2020 22:16

Thanks for the replies.

@SunbathingDragon I think I might end up doing that, thanks.

@Puppyinmypocketwasthebest thank you I will look into those. Do you mind if I ask why you aren't keen on continuously using multivitamins?

@OverTheRainbow88 we tried that for a while... it didn't end well for us 🤣🤣 Especially as the multivitamin we were using (Wellbaby) is orange coloured and sticky 😬🤣

I found some in Asda that were suitable at 2. The only place I found them! I can picture them but I can’t remember the name.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 18/09/2020 22:28

We get some Vitawell chewy multivits from home bargains because they're cheaper than from Tesco. I don't know the age limit though but I suspect it's 3+

SerenityNowwwww · 18/09/2020 22:31

I’d pop the liquid version into little (veggie) jelly squares (made in an ice cube tray). Who wouldn’t eat a whole cube of jelly?

Zhx3 · 18/09/2020 22:33

You can get the Bassett's multivitamins for age 3 - 6 (not sure if they do them for younger ages). My dc have had them since they were little, but the Omega 3 ones are a bit fishy, so I've stopped buying them. The others, they have happily (youngest still refers to them as his "morning sweetie").

We've always used Bassetts. The kids have always liked them and never refused. Not studied the components though.

Thank you for all the replies! I just wanted to update as I know there were a few people following who were having the same issue as me.
I have ended up ordering these ones from Amazon

Whoops sent that too soon!

They are 2years +, vegetarian, and seem to have good levels of the vitamins in them- especially when compared to the Wellbaby liquid we have been giving (for example the Wellbaby has 4mg Iron and these have 14mg iron).
They are a chewable tablet though rather than a gummy so will have to see if he actually will eat them or not! Will update when I know 😊 they come tomorrow!

Just a quick update incase anyone's interested- the tablets went down really well the first few days with him asking for more, then we had a couple days where he chewed it up and then spat it out but then did eat the spat out pieces, and one day where he wasn't very interested so we crushed it up and mixed it with milk and he took it like that. He's been happy to eat them again though the last week or so and asked for more again, so seems a bit hit or miss with him. My husband tried one and said they taste like the smell of urinal cakes 🤣🤣🙈 so we may try something else when these run out if we can find something that's suitable from 2years, or I might just get some 3y+ gummies and cut them in half as someone suggested above!
