Really cold hands and feet

My 17 month old has had really cold hands and feet the past couple of days. Like they are absolutely freezing to touch!!!

When he wakes up they are like that and throughout the day. They do warm up but the majority of the day they are cold.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on what it could be or what I should do?

I have no experience with DCs so I may be wrong but it could be Raynauds , it is a problem that cause the finer capillary to close and so stops the blood getting there , you may find DCs fingers and toes go white / blue , it is very important to warm them up slowly and gently do not use hot water / hair dryer etc . Getting moving by and slowly increasing the heart rate is the best way to warm up.
It can be bloody uncomfortable as they warm , pins and needles / burning feeling .

I have had it all my life and although it is not in any way life threatening it can cause issues if it is not looked after . like chilblains , lack of sense of touch ( I am always dropping things as when my hands are cold they go numb and I can not feel if/ what I am gripping ) . and I have cut myself in the past without realising
The air temp does not need to be cold to be affected , though it is often worse in the cold and damp weather .
The amount of times people tell me you can not be cold in this weather drives me mad .

I have found that Niacin helps me but obs take him to a docs first .

@AlCalavicci you can’t give advice about conditions affecting adults randomly o the internet.
@Givemeagin16 I would absolutely phone up 111 tonight for proper medical advice. Don’t mess around with children and possibly bad outcomes, could be nothing but you need to see a medical professional and let them decide for you, not someone deciding what your daughter has.
Any temperature or other concerns then don’t wait for 111 and go to A&E with cold extremities.

Any chance your dc may have a temperature? Blood diverts from the extremities during a raised temp to the organs leaving hands and feet cold.

@BeeTrees I clearly state that I have no experience with DCs but that I have had it all my life , it was missed in me as a child and I suffered for years before it was diagnosed which is why I mentioned it .
But I also said contact the docs too
