2 year old constant drooling

My two year old daughter drools quite badly and this is concerning me despite it probably be down to teething. She has 16 teeth out of 20 and is due to turn 3 in December. Her birth mother suffers from Schitzophrenia and was being treated with Sodium Valproate during her pregnancy. We have been advised that this could affect my daughter in later life. I have read various things on the Internet and have found various causes to do with enlarged tonsils, tongue and also the antenoids. Can anyone please advise? Thanks Ewan

How is her eating? Can she deal with various textures, chew well solid food? how is her speech?

She doesn't have any issues with her food and eats quite well. Also no issues with her speech which makes me think this is connected to teething

Yes it makes sense. I was asking about the speech and chewing as my son dribbled for years and later found to have verbal dyspraxia. He had problems controlling the muscles in his mouth and couldn't eat/chew well, couldn't drink out of a straw, had severe speech delay and couldn't blow bubbles/blow candles on his birthday cakes.

Thanks for the reply. We have a dental appointment next week so should find out more. I was quite concerned about this but after reading all the stuff on the Internet and in here it has put my mind at ease. Apart from the drooling there are no issues.

Both my DS and DD drooled really badly as toddlers. I've got pictures of them with soaking wet bibs/tops. They had to be changed 3 or 4 times a day.
Both are teenagers now and no issues so it must have just been teething.

Thanks for your reply. I was concerned about the amount of drooling but after reading stuff on here and the Internet I think the cause is teething. She is just coming up for 3 and her molars are just coming in.

My eldest dd was the same, I remember tucking bibs under her tops when she was 2/3. I put it down to teething. She did need her adenoids removed when she was 4 but I don't know if it was connected. I'm sure she will be just fine :)
