Any parents to 6/7 year olds??

Does your child have supper before bed? If so, what? DD has all sorts before bed, think out of habit now.. but DH said it's not necessary as she has had her dinner just two hours earlier. I thought all kids had supper?

No, they have dinner at 6 or so and bed is 8.30. Why would they need another meal?

Nope.

DS started having a snack before bed at about that sort of age. He eats at 5 which is quite early and will have a brioche or peanut butter on rice cakes about an hour before bed.

There’s a lot of very early dinners here?

If children are eating dinner but then needing snacks pre-bed then maybe dinner should be later

We eat quite late so hit and miss with supper.
unless its delaying going to bed tactics, then I will let her have a banana or slice of toast, w milk if she's still hungry.

Dinner at 5.30, a big one followed by fruit salad.

In bed at 7.15. Wakes 7 and whilst wants breakfast, certainly not starving!

He’s never asked so no. Dinner is 6 and bath at 7 so not much time really!

Always supper here.

My 6 year old does have supper.
I grew up always having supper( my mum just likes to feed)
He will have cereal or some sort of breakfast bread/croissant/waffle/pancake and a small glass of milk
