Go back to the GP. Also, query diabetes.

My DD does this. Shes been out of nappies for 2 years (shes 4.5 now) its always been like this. Not every day, but very often. They have checked her for literally everything several times and found nothing. I had it investigated because she couldnt hold it sometimes on the days she had to pee every 30mins and dripped in her undies. It was never fully wet to soak her pants, just her undies a little.
So we had it investigated when she was almost 3 and then again a year later, because it didnt change much. She has now less days with the frequent peeing, but still has then 1-2x a week.
I just mentioned it again at her 4 year check up and the dr checked her urine again. All was fine and dr put it down to age. Said her bladder control probably isnt fully developped and if it doesnt change by the time shes 5 they will investigate it further. According to our dr its not unusual at this age and she recommended to give it some time.

Definitely check diabetes though like pp said, thats one of the first things they did for us after uti.

Thanks for the response so far

Just to add:
Urine shows no glucose and blood sugar was normal .
Are we missing something ??

Threadworms? Perhaps worth ruling out?

Could it be anxiety about wetting herself? My younger sister went through that phase, there was nothing physically wrong she'd just reached the age of being conscious of embarrassment. She grew out of it.

If diabetes and uti ruled out then I’d think anxiety re wetting
Stay cool and don’t remark on it and do not allow anyone else to comment on it either!!!

Is she also excessively thirsty/drinking loads? Ask about diabetes insipidus - which is completely different to diabetes mellitus and involves an inability to balance fluid in the body. Also has different causes.

Does she have squash that's sugar free? This makes my son go very frequently.

My dd has this about age 5. It was anxiety. Starting school was a big factor. Teacher said she was constantly asking to go to doctor and suggested checking with doctor for uti. But this came back clear. Luckily teacher was understanding about it. She outgrew eventually. I read an article online it is quite common at this age. My dd is an over thinker so probably prone to anxiety. I think the advice was not to make too big a deal out of it, let them go and don’t force them to hold it in. But maybe occasionally say hang on a minute we just need to do this first as distraction etc.

? Constipation.
