Dark Urine in toddlers

DS (2.8) has had 3 wees today but all have been darker yellow and not as much quantity as she would normally do. She's not necessarily been drinking any less than usual.

She is irritable from teething (says mouth hurts) and might have a bit of a cold on the way but other than that no temp (37) and doesn't seem unwell.

Asking on here as she is generally a very well child never been on antibiotics before.

Thank you in advance 😌

3 wees in one day is not much I would try getting more water/juice in your child an see if there's an improvement tmz dark wee can be a sign of dehydration. If no improvement after drinking more try your gp might need testing for water infection

I'd encourage liquids and if she wakes in the night tonight offer her water/milk.

In situations like this my GP would want to know the frequency of DD's wees so make a note of them. If she still isn't weeing normally in the morning and definitely if she starts showing other signs of being unwell I'd call 111 tomorrow rather than waiting until Monday.

Thanks for the replies so far, helpful advice. Just realised I put DS, meant DD.

I wasn’t sure If I was being too overly cautious but it seems i am right to keep an eye on it. She is potty trained but has nappy overnight so I will see how wet her nappy is in morning. Will offer water if she wakes in night too.
