Reflux gp won’t help

Ds is 22weeks.. this has been going on since he was tiny.. reflux runs in our family, I have it, eldest has it, my dm and dgm all have it so it’s likely just a dodgy gene somewhere.

He’s bf and a complete bottle and dummy refuser, we were given gaviscon for him but giving him it makes him hysterical, vomit more from all the air he’s taking, constipated and bloody worse all round. I went back to the gp, first had ranitidine to 8 months and thickened fluids till a year, so expected to be able to get him ranitidine which is a tiny quick dose which I should’ve been able to manage.

But no ranitidines off the market, told the next steps omeprazole but she wouldn’t prescribe it until I’d seen a dietician. Fair enough, waited spoke to dietician already dairy free agreed that as calpols the only thing working he needs something as long term paracetamol isn’t good for them either. Letter to advise medication to gp.

Since the letter didn’t give the gp exact directions they never prescribed anything. So I’ve been chasing them all for fucking weeks! They don’t want to know, don’t give a shit he’s screaming for hours a day, causing his brother to freak out.. I can’t get the poor mite over the door laying him down hurts him, I haven’t had a bath alone in 22 weeks because he won’t be put down or tolerate anyone else for longer than two minutes, constantly feeding day and night and because he’s not loosing weight they couldn’t give a crap.

We can’t afford an osteopath to be blunt, it’s an extra few £100 a month then sorting childcare and travel since there’s none local.

Is there another route? Only one practice local to us so you can’t even switch.
