DC has been diagnosed with neutropenia Which is not yet under control and currently susceptible to illness

Would I be ok to Vaccinate ? He’s due his preschool boosters?

And if his immune system is so low would he mid previous vaccinations still work?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

This decision should be made by your child’s haematology consultant x

I would call a doctor to ask

DS was regularly neutropenic when on chemotherapy, I think I remember having to wait for his counts to improve before he could have the flu vaccine

You absolutely need to check with a consultant.

Would the vaccinations even work right now anyway? I thought they worked by triggering an immune response.
