What could this rash be?

Have just seen this come up on DS's (17mo) back and a bit on legs. It's a bit more pink in person. He seems fine in himself.

Anxious / paranoid / FTM paired with a very chilled DH makes me question if I should worry about it - and nowadays my anxious head goes straight to coronavirus...

I should've upped the contrast on the picture...it doesn't look like much there, does it? Makes me look super crazy paranoid 🤦🏼‍♀️ But is much more pink in person

Could it be heat rash? It's been bloody roasting today.

Livingoffcoffee · 23/06/2020 18:12

It definitely could be, it's very warm here.

As long as he's acting fine in himself / no fever, so I just leave it be?

These have come up on his face, as well. (Full disclosure- slightly edited to show the contrast)

Am I overthinking it?

I'd take mine to the doctors for any rash, for my own peace of mind

That looks like a viral rash. DS gets the rash and is then ill the next day. I'm assuming you have done the glass test to rule out meningitis?

I don't intend to alarm you but I'd call 111 and see what they say. I read a news story yesterday or the day before where a 6 month old baby had a rash on its back and it was confirmed as Covid-19 after testing. Apparently a rash is one of the symptoms babies have that adults tend not to.
Get checked out x

Have done the glass test and that's fine. Most of it has now faded away, so don't know if that means it's likely just to be heat rash?
