18 month old limping

Advice needed.

DS is 18 months and has, obviously non verbally, made us aware of a pain in his leg.

Got a bit upset when I put his shoes on the other day and then made him stand up, kept lifting his leg up
Then over the past few days, towards the end of the day you can tell he doesn't want to put too much weight on his leg, limping at times

At what point do I go to the doctor? Doesn't seem in too much pain, but is obviously a discomfort of some sort.

Thinking give it till the end of the week, then call the doctor on Monday if no change?

Thanks!

Weirdly, a limp is one of those things you should always get checked out immediately. I've been told that by a GP. I'd call first thing tomorrow.

Thank you, I think I might. Now I've put it down in writing it's made me take it a bit more seriously.

Get it checked. Tomorrow. Unlikely to be serious but you should check it out.

Can he crawl fine?

If so that may imply it’s a problem in his lower leg.
If not it’s a problem in his upper leg/hip?

Perhaps a bruise will show up by tomorrow if he’s banged his wee leg.

Thanks everyone.
I've made the mistake of a good 'ole google and now having a bit of a nervous breakdown.
He is a daredevil so chances are he's hurt it playing around, I hope so, anyway.

He definitely needs checked out ASAP. Has he had a fever or any viral infections lately?

No illness, no fever, absolutely nothing. Totally his usual self other than the slight limp
