Advice for helping feed baby medication

I need to give my month old LO some liquid antibiotics as she has a chest infection. So far the 3 doses I've given her have all made her vomit, first time spoon fed and latest two mixed into food. The Dr says to persist (but keep an eye on it) as the alternative meds is worse for nausea and vomiting. I appreciate she might just be allergic but on Dr's advice for now, does anyone have any advice to help get the medication inside her?

What age? Have you tried syringing bit by bit into her cheek?

How old is she? I mixed the dose into a little pot of yogurt and then used the syringe to feed it to my LO when he was 11 months. Worked a treat! He would not have the antibiotics on their own!!

Syringing into the back of the cheek worked the best here when they were tiny.

Thanks everyone. My original thread should have said she is 7 months old. We've had to give her other medication in the past for Silent reflux which was fine on a syringe as it was only a small amount, Calpol we give on a spoon and she is fine but it's the antibiotic she just seems to be sick from and we are having trouble.

I would give a tiny bit at a time and make sure it has gone down before the next bit. Syringe at back of cheek as above.
