Hi all,

What could these spots be? 1 year old.

Chickenpox? Although I'm not sure how he could have caught them as we haven't really left the house for 5 weeks! (The odd walk here and there other than that we've been in our garden) his 2.5 year old sister has no spots.

He does have eczema, which is where the spots first started appearing - so I thought it was eczema related to start with.

He had his 12 months jabs on 7th April - Thought it could perhaps be a reaction to the MMR but now the spots are starting to get pus filled / white heads!

He's had a stinking cough and cold with a slight fever for 2 weeks.

Spots are on his chest, neck and back of his head. They started about 4 days ago, just a cluster around his eczema then a few more, then they seem to start looking like whiteheads and then turn into red nasty looking sores. They are sore and itchy. He cries if he/you touch them.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi how's your wee one today?

Alfiemoon909 · 22/04/2020 16:43

Thanks guys, we've been to the doctors and they think staphylococcus infection and is on antibiotics.

Poor chap, still very sore and nasty looking but he's very happy in himself.

Glad you've seen the GP and got sorted. I was going to be a bit pedantic and say that if he had his jabs on the 7th and in the doctors surgery for that then maybe he couldve picked up something then
