Jabs

Hi there,

Im due to take my DD for her 12 week jabs today, im really anxious about it due to all the covid going around and her potentially picking it up.

Has anyone only done the first lot of jabs and none of the others?

Surely if they have an immunity to it from first jabs top up ones areny really necessary? My partner and his brother only had one lot and have never had anything from it.

Im more anxious about her getting a temp or something and no one taking me seriously due to covid and if any thing happened due to the temp they'd say to isolate??

Just real anxious after reading peoples comments about it saying their little ones were really poorly for days. She was ok after the first lot of jabs. I also cannot find a good thermometer (our last armpit one broke and our forehead scanner reads completely different each time)

Thanks, a veru anxious FTM

It is unusual to react badly to subsequent jabs. You dont get full immunity until you have the full course. Do not stress about a thermometer yiu can taell a baby has a raised temp without one. Follow good hygiene and have the jabs they are important

If a baby was unwell after jabs you would not be told to isolate

All of my DS jabs were delayed by at least 4 months due to illness/holiday etc so I would say if you're that concerned, just rearrange, there really is no harm.

shanchanx · 01/04/2020 12:23

@Pentium85 she's already been delayed them by 3 weeks (now 15 tomorrow) due to her being unwell previously.

@NoMorePoliticsPlease do you think? Im just anxious is all! She wasnt really bad ive just seen some horror stories which are making me anxious

@Pentium85 did they allow you to do them at a later date no problem? I heard there was a time frame they needed to be done in? X

OP, there is a time frame, but it is loonnnnggggg.

And yes, no problem at all, I just explained why. My DS only just had his 12 month jabs, he is 19 months!

Okay brilliant! Think im going to call and rearrange them til all this has blown over!
