Can anyone shed some light in these urine analysis results

I took my son gp 14th feb cos he'd been drinking loads and his wee smelt weird (he's only 1)
They dipped his urine with the stick and said it was fine but they'll send the sample to the lab anyway cos he was really sick not long ago.
So the results only came back last Friday (I rang to ask) but doc hadn't looked at them yet. Then they called today to make an appt with the gp to discuss results on Thursday.
I went in to get a copy as he has a consultant appt tomorrow and thought best to take them with me.
When I went in the receptionist checked was ok to print with the gp and then came back and said he was going to ring me tonight as possibly need antibiotics.
Now I'm worrying like a mad woman (well aware this is mainly due to him being so unwell last month and being sent away from hospital originally)
My question is- why would they first be ok to wait til Thursday if this shows infection? And then change their minds because I asked for the results?

Can anyone shed some light in these urine analysis results

So looking st it, it seems the lab has grown a bacteria from the urine but this looks likely to be a contaminant eg it wasnt a completely sterile sample which is very common when collecting samples from young children. I would suggest you collect another sample and hand it in to be sent to the lab (not just dipped) so they can check again. If the same result comes up it is likely to be a true infection. How is he in himself? Any high temps?

He seems ok to be honest. Just super thirsty and his bum is sore. I've got dip sticks at home and just did one in his nappy (I know not great but just thought I'd look) and the nitrate, blood and leukocytes are all very positive.
Should he not have more symptoms if it is an infection?
I will go and get a sample pot tomorrow to repeat. Don't really want him on antibiotics again (was on them for a month in January) but obviously if he needs them he needs them x

They found a bug.

Urine may have been contaminated with faeces (normal for infant - it's hard getting a clean urine sample)

If he does have a UTI, there are two antibiotics which can deal with it.

There are no results for sugar in urine.

If you're worried about possible UTI or diabetes, make another appointment with your GP, or visit walk in centre.

We've been do an outpatient clinic today. I mentioned his thirst (which is not constant).
They weighed him and he's actually lost 2lb in the last 2 weeks- is this a lot?
Going back for bloods and another urine sample tomorrow

How did he get on OP? I've been thinking about you, remembering how worried I was when mine lost weight (totally different circumstances).

Hope all's well.

He had his bloods and urine done yesterday but we haven't heard anything yet.
Hoping no news is good news tbh...
We waiting 6 hours for him to wee yesterday for a sample so that worried me too.
They've tested kidney function and glucose as far as I'm aware. So just waiting now.
