Fainting after shower

Hey guys
So DD2 aged 11 has just almost fainted after she got out of the shower!
The same thing happened last year when she got out of a hot tub
I'm assuming this is to do with the temperature -anyone else had any experience of this?

Low blood pressure? Dehydration? Postural tachycardia? Probably worth checking with GP, just in case.

Sounds to me like low blood-pressure (which I had lots as a teenager). If she's using hot water, her blood vessels will dilate, which will make her blood pressure drop

I took Ds1 to the GP about this, it just transpired that the water was too hot, but worth checking it out with your GP.

I had this as a teenager, low blood pressure.
Go to see GP but I just needed to take things slowly when I first got up!

I used to get faint very often during early puberty. I e always had really low blood pressure.

Haworthia · 18/02/2020 10:41

Yep, most likely the water was too hot.

yikesanotherbooboo · 21/02/2020 18:04

I still do this .

cobwebfew · 21/02/2020 18:06

i used to always feel lightheaded after exiting the shower or bath, turns out the water was too hot. But, It's best to see your GP.

Sounds like the temperate more than anything.

Important to note to how she collapsed; legs gave way, loss of consciousness, loss of bladder bowl control, light headless, blurred vision?
