Best dry skin/eczema cream?

Hi!

My 7 month old has had really bad dribble rash due to acid reflux. The doctor said it's now turned into eczema and is really dry.
We have used too creams ( one I can't remember but was from doctors ) and the other as hydrocortisone cream as suggested by another doctor.

Nothing clears it and it gets to the point it cracks and makes it look like small open scratches :(

Best cream or advise would be lovely.
Thank you! Xo

Two creams sorry! It's also on his face. Around his mouth and cheeks slightly.

Child's Farm is very good, helped my dgs with his skin conditions. He also has the bubble bath

@ThePittts hi! Thank you!
It says it's slightly fragranced the moisturiser though and I was told with eczema it's best to get fragrance free? X

Maybe Doublebase cream, think that has no fragrance

Childs farm. 100%

I would proceed with caution with CF, it felt like battery acid on my skin.

Aveeno or CeraVe

Silveryfox · 01/02/2020 00:54

Definitely dont use anything like Doublebase, or anything with chemicals in, such sensitive young skin just csnt take it. My 4 month old was hospitalised and developed a blood staph infection through our gp prescribing Dermol. It was awful. I have been using Aveeno lotion on him head to toe since he was 5 months old and hes 10 now, his skin is like silk and it lasts for 24 hours. I never use anything else. I cant recommend it highly enough x

@ThePittts @DecemberSnow @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor @Silveryfox thank you all!! With the Aveeno which one is best? As it's right near his mouth and cheeks I'm hesitant obviously to use most things!

I would say use steroid cream initially to clear up any eczema breakouts then use the Aveeno to maintain the condition. If you're meticulous and regular in using it, it should do wonders.

Silveryfox · 01/02/2020 15:00

Ps, dont put the aveeno on directly after the cortisone because not only will it dilute the cortisone but it will sting and make him/her scream x

Cerave. It’s got loads of stuff in it that will actually help seal moisture in, rather than put a layer over it if you know what I mean.
It’s not cheap but I think it’s woryh it.

Aveeno takes the cake. The daily babywash or The Skin relief ones.

Doublebase gel (I think) was quite good.

Boots derma care Hydrocortisone cream or ointment (works best between the two).

Nothing2doooooo · 01/02/2020 15:05

Also aveeno dermaplex (I think) emollient balm or aveeno Civo balm.

Cica* not civo.
