My daughter has developed a spotty rash over her torso, back, legs and arms. It doesn’t seem to be painful or itchy and fades under glass. She also seems well in herself with no temp.
We changed bath products the other day to child’s farm baby Unscented range to help with patches of eczema. And also their mildly scented moisturiser. Could this be the culprit or should I see gp?

Bumping incase anyone can help.
Have seen Gp who thought viral rash even thought DD hasn’t been unwell.
Rash has changed and now looks like patches of dry skin which are extremely itchy. Still has the individual spots on her abdomen.
Wondering if this could be a reaction to her Omeprazole?

I posted similar pictures to your first when we took DS on holiday and people told me it was eczema but I was convinced it was heat related. But no, it was eczema. It left his torso but he ended up with big patches on arms and shoulder which required a steroid cream. Minimal baths and being really careful about what shampoo etc we use works for him.

Hopefully you get to the bottom of it, poor baby, it looks sore.

The first pics do look like a viral rash but without viral infection symptoms I'd be inclined to disagree, the second pics look much more like an allergic reaction. Whatever you normally use to treat her excema I'd stick with that especially if it's prescribed or from chemist. Otherwise for the itching there's a great product called virasoothe, it's mostly sold for chicken pox but I have even used it on myself for chronic hives and my goodness the relief from the itch is heavenly. You can get it in boots/superdrug etc.

@AHorseCalledCroc that’s really interesting- I never thought eczema could start of as a rash like that. I think I’ll take her back to the docs and see if they’ll prescribe a steroid cream for her. Thank you!

@Nogodsnomasters unfortunately we don’t have any eczema treatments as she had only ever had small patches on the creases of her ankles that never caused too much bother. I have stripped back her bath products to nothing but water for now and a liberal amount of coconut oil to moisturise. I’ve never heard of virasoothe. I will try and get a hold of some today because the poor tooty is making herself bleed with all the scratching - even with mittens on.

Op I'd never heard of it either until my son got chicken pox 3 years ago and the calomine lotion was not helping matters so boots pharmacist recommend virasoothe, it's a clear gel and dries smooth no stickiness etc and it really zaps the itch, you can put it on as often as needed. Good idea to stop all products at the minute, definitely see if the gp will prescribe something for excema. Poor wee mite, it looks sore. Hope you can get it under control before Christmas.
