3 month old teething??

My 3 month old appears to be teething but I'm not sure for definite, it seems a bit early but is there anyone out there who might be able to offer me any stories of their kids and their experiences at a similar age?

She has been doing the following for around a week:
• chewing hands
• dribbling/bubbles mouth
• cranky/not sleeping during day
• biting me when feeding (BF)
• since two days ago has stopped latching on me as strong as if her mouth hurts her
• we introduced a dummy a few weeks ago and although she will take it occasionally she is now just gnawing/biting it

Is this normal? I didn't expect it so early and I'm not sure if it's teething or something else. She also had her 12 week jags yesterday and apart from being a little grizzly has been fine. I think the biggest thing concerning me is the latching on more shallow as if her mouth is bothering her and she is biting me either at first or after a feed.
I haven't noticed her gums being red though...

Any similar experiences would be much appreciated and any advice to relieve the discomfort if so, we have a matchstick teething monkey which she will sook for a wee while but then gets frustrated.

Thanks Smile

Yes, mine had 2 teeth at 3 months. Some teeth early, some like my neighbours child was nearly 12 months and still toothless.

Mine had his first tooth at 17weeks, so not as early yours but still quite early Smile

Could be teething. My DD got her firth tooth at 4 months exactly & 2nd tooth, 2 weeks later. She'd been grumpy for about a month beforehand with it but wouldn't take any teething roys, only wanted to gnaw on our fingers (!)

Toys not roys

Bloody defective autocorrect...

My DS is 16 weeks and doing all the things you have mentioned. We think we can see his tooth cutting through though. He has a lot of teething toys which helps but as soon as he finds his hands, of course he'd much rather have them!

My DS was teething at 8 weeks and had his 1st tooth through by 9 weeks. A cold clean cloth from the fridge to chew on can help
