Ds (7) incredibly sweaty during first few hours of sleep

Whenever I check ds before I go to bed he is really sweaty-visible sweat on him and sheets damp.

Our house isn’t overwarm (if anything it’s on the cool side) and he only has a thin duvet. 100% cotton.

It doesn’t wake him up and he’s fine during the day-not an overly sweaty child at all.

Is this anything to be concerned about or shall I just keep washing his bedding regularly?

Is there a waterproof sheet on the bed?

No just regular mattress protector and sheet

It could be the mattress protector. My DS was really sweaty at night until we changed to a bamboo mattress protector. It was much more breathable than the previous one.

Sweating overnight is also a sign of low blood sugar

DS is 7 and sweats loads at night. His hair is usually wet when I go in and check him. He has asthma and sleep apnea (sp?) so the constant snoring, stopping and starting breathing and moving around in bed causes him to get hot. Even now he's only wearing pants and just has pj's on when out of bed.

Does yours snore and/or move position a lot and have problems with congestion/tonsils/adenoids etc? Could be worth looking into?

No nothing like that.
Nor any sign of low blood sugar.
I’m surprised he’s not dying of thirst in the morning judging by how much he’s dripping in the night .
