Spots in 9yo

Dd is well into puberty with every sign now except for periods. The new one is spots on her forehead; they've literally appeared over night and this is definitely affecting her already. Other than Simple facewash what else can a child so young use? She definitely doesn't drink enough water (or any drink at all but that's another thread) so will really try to up her water intake. She's seeing her endocrinologist tomorrow which is timely so will obviously ask but Mumsnet is full of pearls of wisdom so thought I'd check for handy hints here too. Tia.

get her to use the body shop tea tree oil on the spots, and to wash with their seaweed face wash every morning and night. also, does she have a fringe? my dd started to get spots at age 9 and it helped the ones on her forehead to clip the fringe back, in order to allow them to dry up

Thanks, will give tea tree a go though I personally react to it so am a bit hesitant. She doesn't have a fringe but I'll up washing it as it's getting greasy me quickly.

My skin gets oily and spotty. A dermatologist told me to use minimum 20% salicylic acid cleanser. I use nutrogena (the luminous orange one), it's great. My skin can be very sensitive and I was reluctant to try it but I've never had a reaction to it and my skin is in great shape now!

If you can find somewhere that does facials (proper ones, not the relaxing ones) then they should be a big help Smile
