Help DD 3 stomach pain

Mascall87 · 13/09/2019 19:12

My DD 3 has been suffering with severe abdominal pain for the last 8 days. We have had her in hospital and all tests have come back negative. She is generally happy but uncomfortable with sudden attacks of severe pain that last about an hour. They are so bad she is ripping hair out. Urine negative, scan negative, no other symptoms other than occasional reflux. She will go from playing to suddenly not wanting to walk or play. Just lays down looking sad for hours. The severe pain usually happens at night. I don't know what to do

Where is the pain?

OrchidFlakes · 13/09/2019 19:31

ANother one saying abdominal migraine. Plagued me for a few years as a kid ages 7-10 ish then just disappeared. The pain was awful and lasted a few hours but generally felt fine in myself.

Could she be constipated?

BabyST · 13/09/2019 22:44

One of mine had this for about a year. Scans and bloods showed up nothing. Doctor called it mesenteric adenitis (or something), basically a headache in your tummy. Very common in children apparently

Pooling regularly, soft tummy inspected by Dr and ultrasound didn't find anything

Just incase anyone reads this again. It self resolved. We had trouble with it for about 3 months that gradually became less severe until it just disappeared.
