Children's physiotherapy quick assessment

Has anyone's child had one of these and how quick is quick?

DD(4) was referred by peads consultant due to habitual toe walking and we've just got the appointment through for a few weeks from now and it describes it as a quick assessment.
I'm now thinking we aren't actually going to get anything in terms of treatment started and it's a quick look at the issue then wait for another appointment if they feel it needs following up.
We've already waited since early June and the clinics seem to only be once a month as we were called in Aug to say they were just booking that clinic and we would get an appointment through for the next months.

My now 12 year old had the same problem with toe walking.
He was seen by the physo and they checked to make sure it wasnt caused by ligaments or tendons.
They decided to but him in casts for 6 weeks (changed every 2 weeks) to see if it broke the habbit.
Unfortunately it didnt and he still tip toe walks now.
My son does have autism and it is apart of sensory issues but is also common in children with no sen.

Thanks for your reply, she's been cleared physically by the consultant and we are pretty sure it's not due to tight ligaments and xrays cleared any structural issues.
So the physio I'm hoping is to put some practical things in place to break the habit, maybe some fun games that encourage heel toe walking.
Maybe doing it for someone else other than me reminder her will work.

She started school this week and the teacher is happy to help and prompt her if she's on her toe which is great.

Has long term toe walking lead on to any tendon or ligament issues with your son, the worry is over time it could cause tightness?
