Car Sickness

My just turned 3 DD has recently been very sick on 2 longish car journeys. Although from what I've read watching an iPad is a no no to prevent such episodes. It has been the 2 times she has not been watching it (we strap it to the back of the seat in front for watching films) that she has been sick.
Probably answering my own question and if it works, she'll just need the iPad for every journey but other suggestions welcome.
I can't put her car seat in the middle as only have a Golf and a baby seat also. It's not always practical to travel at night.

Used to get car sick when I was little. My dad gave me a 'magic penny' to sit on and so long as I was sat on it I wouldn't get car sick. It totally worked and was never sick when I had the 'magic penny'. Placebo effect worked wonders for me. Maybe try it?

My son has always suffered from car sickness - less so now he’s 11. The acupressure travel bands helped a bit Try not too eat too much before a long journey and drink water rather than milk or pop. Loose clothing (for a while he had an oversize t shirt especially for long journeys) and plenty of clean up kit. We did try Dramamine but it made him too sleepy when we got wherever we were going, and your DD is probably too young. Hopefully she will grow out of it - both step daughters did.
