Recurring UTI in 5yo

My daughter has been having problems with her bladder for around 1.5 years now. It started with a few UTIs which then resulted in constant dribbling. We were referred to Peadiatrics at the time and she was put on oxybutynin for a diagnosed “twitchy bladder” which seemed to help for a short time in which we were discharged. In the last month however, she has had 4 different urine infections which no let up inbetween, one going into her kidneys. Each urine sample comes back with a different bacteria requiring another form of antibiotic meaning she is now on her fourth course of antibiotics in 4 weeks. She has been urgently referred for a renal scan but that can take 6-8 weeks and in the mean time we just have to keep handing in urine samples and taking the antibiotics.
The doctors at the hospital said it’s highly unusual to see this many different bacteria’s in such quick succession so I guess I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced anything similar and can offer any reassurance or may have any advice on what we can do to help her😔 I feel so helpless.

D-mannosie can be a big help for UTIs.
Could it be related to immune system? No similar experience here. Might be obvious but in these cases it's highly important to keep privates as much as possible dry and clean to avoid bacteria stay alive and go around.

I’m unsure but definitely worth asking because her tonsils have been swollen for around 3 weeks now and she’s struggling to shift that and a bad cough so her immune system is definitely struggling. I should get another call back from the doctors tomorrow with some other test results so will ask them then.
Yes, keeping her dry is definitely something we’re conscious of but struggle with because she dribbles quite frequently with her twitchy bladder so she has to constantly change her underwear to stay dry. I feel so awful for her. I know children are much more resilient than we are but it must be having an impact on her confidence.
Thank you for replying ☺️

@Artisticme Yes, children as resilient but very very sensitive. She should be aware it happens to a lot of women. There are small pantiliners for incontinence to let her stay dry but I would use only the natural breathable ones (like natracare) and only if that's all right with her. Anyway not only pee is bad but poo too, many UTIs come from there. Wet wipes are very useful for that.
I hope that goes away soon
