At 15 months my dd suddenly stopped talking and hearing, audiolgy confirmed glue ear and was sent for a sedated ABR. The glue ear has cleared and they said "we have got it down to a normal range" i dont believe my child can hear as well as others. I am getting a second opinion on hearing and she is waiting for a pediatrics referall. Can anybody explain what they would class as a normal hearing range? I will attach a photo off ABR results.

Ds had severe glue ear from about 10 weeks old with multiple ear infections. he's had three lots of grommets.
Firstly it is normal to clear in the summer months. Ds could have 100% hearing in July, and be back down to 10% in November. He's only be declared clear after having two winter hearing tests which are normal.

Hearing is really difficult to tell in a young child. They compensate so well. I didn't realise ds was lip-reading until ENT pointed it out. He also taught himself to read with subtitles on TV. I assumed he just liked the control of putting them on.
Why don't you think they're hearing fully?

However they don't normally do anything for glue ear if one ear is fine.

I think (not a medic) that the

She is now 18 months.
i understand this may seem young but there was a sudden change around 15months, she had a vocabulary of around 20 clear words and would respond to sound/music instantly.
It took me around a week to notice it was her hearing, i just kept thinking she was having a unsociable phase.

I understand glue ear comes and goes and it was not present at her ABR.
All the information i have looked at suggests that a minor hearing loss is
