Is she on antibiotics? I assume you’ve seen a doctor but if she’s worsening and having fewer wet nappies I’d consider calling 111 and trying to get an out of hours appointment. We were in hospital for 2 nights when my 2 year old had it and then had open access to the unit for the following 48 hours after discharge so it’s not something they take lightly I don’t think, especially in such a small one.
Definitely put the weaning on hold- a week or so is fine, just concentrate on usual milk feeds.

They don’t give antibiotics for bronchiolitis unless they suspect a secondary infection.

My son was hospitalised at 9 weeks old with what they thought was bronchiolitis- took them five days to admit him, twice they sent us home saying it wasn’t bad enough to be admitted, then at a nicu check up his o2 level plummeted to 70% and he was blue lighted around the corner to A&E. What’s worse is that five days earlier I called an ambulance because he was so bad and I literally couldn’t tell the difference between when his o2 levels were 95% and when they were 70%. He seemed just as bad.

After four days in hospital they realised he wasn’t getting better, ran further tests and it was actually whooping cough.

How long since you saw a doctor? Bronchiolitis is meant to get worst by day 5 and then improve.

If there’s wheezing, I would get her seen again.

Oh and definitely don’t wean. When they’re small, when their tummies are full it’s harder for their lungs to expand. This and the difficulties breathing can lead to reduced feeds and therefore fewer wet nappies and dehydration. I’d see a doctor again.

I went to see doctor on Monday. Its five days almost. He prescribed over the counter medicine for cold and cough. But worried for her. Today she is wheezing more.

Definitely go back if she’s getting worse. Call 111.

I agree, if she's wheezing and having fewer wet nappies you should have her seen asap. Children so young can deteriorate quickly.

It's fine to out weaning on hold; it doesn't have to be done bang on 6 months and I'd she's feeling ill I doubt she'd be receptive to it anyway.
