Milk with a tummy bug?

DD 20 months has a tummy bug, has been being sick since yesterday. Isn't interested in much food, I have been trying to get her to drink water and have been syringing dioralyte in to her mouth to make sure she is getting fluids. She usually has a bottle of cows milk at bed time, would you still give her this? My dm used to tell me no dairy when I was sick because it would curdle in my tummy, but I'm not sure if this is right or not. NHS says to give babies milk, but children clear fluids so I'm just not totally sure?

Smaller babies who are using milk as their main fluid and calories should be given small amounts to keep hydrated - so basically under 12 months. Since your dc is almost 2 I probably would not give the bedtime milk bottle until they are feeling better. Keep up with water and very very diluted juice.

I was always told it’s better they have something rather than nothing so give her milk if she will take it.

Thanks, I did offer her it but she wouldn't drink it, had more water today though so at least we're getting somewhere today.

My DD tends to struggle with dairy after a stomach bug - was dairy intolerant when younger- so I would probably avoid...
