"sunburn" that goes away in minutes

I am worried about a rash that has appeared in my DD skin twice already. I am concerned she may have a sun allergy or something of the sort, but I am just guessing... I'll take her to the GP next week but maybe someone has an idea about what this could be? The first time we were in a playground on a sunny day. I had applied 50+ suncream on her but it is always hard to apply properly on her neck, so the neck was not so thoroughly covered I guess comparing to the other parts of her body. After just 15 minutes or so I started to notice that area going red, so I freaked out thinking she was burning because it was probably not applied well enough. The rest of her body and face was fine and she was fine in herself. The red rash disappeared completely after a few minutes. So I thought that maybe was not a sunburnt after all? as sunburnt doesn't come and go like that in just a few minutes!
This was probably a month ago or so but it happened again yesterday, this time on her arm. Again, I had applied suncream but maybe I was not so thorough as it was cloudy in the morning and she was also wearing a cardigan. She was outdoors in the afternoon for just half an hour (after 4pm), with her childminder and a burnt mark appeared in one of her arms. It looked quite red and was hot to the touch but again, it was gone in a matter of minutes!
I don't know what to think, I am baffled!
The only thing I know is that this has happened only twice and both times has been after a few minutes of sun exposure. The look of it was exactly as a sunburn, but no blisters or anything like that, just redness, hot to the touch and gone in a few minutes!

Heat rash? Or just hot skin? My face goes red when I'm hot.

But this was just a patch on her arm, with very well - defined lines... If it is heat rash, wouldn't it be in the whole area exposed, not just in a little area

It's heat rash.

Sounds like both of you need to chill out.

On the NHS website says the symptoms for heat rash are small red spots, itchy feeling, redness and mild swelling. Apart from the redness she has none of the other symptoms. I've also seen photos online of heat rash and doesn't look anything like that (no spots whatsoever)?

I assume you are using a chemical suncream at that factor? Try a mineral suncream instead, ideally unperfumed. She may be having a reaction to the suncream or the fragrance. A lot of ‘heat rash’ is actually dermatitis from suncream.

It's just hot skin I think. I get it. Dh always tells me I'm burning when I'm wearing factor 50, I'm not, it's just my skin getting hot.

Hives/urticaria?
