I just looked at the box and says Feb 18!

Do I need to panic? He had one sachet.

Is it use by or best before? If it's best before then quality may deteriorate but it won't be dangerous

HappyDinosaur · 26/06/2019 16:57

I'm sure it will be fine, just don't use any more of it.

SpongeCake23 · 26/06/2019 16:58

@dementedpixie it just says exp: then the date!

It's just powdered lactose ie sugar. It can't turn into anything dangerous.

babysharkah · 26/06/2019 17:01

No you don't need to panic.

It's a sugar powder. it's not going to go off.

dementedpixie · 26/06/2019 17:02

Looks like it's plant extracts and sugar so nothing that would cause issues

Youwantshoesinashoeshop · 26/06/2019 23:18

It is totally fine. As others have said.... it is literally just pure sugar.

nicecuppaforme · 27/06/2019 22:28

Yeah, it's just sugar. No idea why people give it to babies tbh. It doesn't do anything.

TuckMyWin · 27/06/2019 22:38

Yeah, I wouldn't worry, it's only sugar. Funny story, my baby got addicted to this stuff. Needed a sachet before he'd go to sleep, a bit like you'd need a teddy. We had to go cold turkey HmmIt really is crack for babies.

Her0utdoors · 27/06/2019 22:39

That's barely a year, it might have gone a bit clumpy, nothing more. I've got some olbas oil I inherited that went out of date in 2000, still fine. I'd be more concerned your mil isn't giving your child something to help the pain of teething, as above it's just sugar and doesn't contain any active ingredients.
