TMA maybe... (sorry)
Since last Saturday my 5yo DS has had painful Diarrhea (with mucus). Like full on screaming whilst he's going, on the toilet for about 20mins a time about twice an hour, maybe more etc.
He's been off school all week (in case it's contagious and also because it sometimes goes in his boxers if he's not quick enough).
Took him to the docs the other day and explained what was going on, Dr examined his tummy and said "he's got a bug, no temperature, bp and hr are fine" got told to just push fluids and it'll clear up on it's own in about 7 days...
He's fine in himself, when he's not using the toilet he's his usual bouncy, cheerful (argumentative lol), hyper self.
Anyway... it's been 6 days since it all began, the pooing isn't as frequent now, isn't large amounts either, (maybe like the size of 2 50p coins) and maybe like once every few hours, also not as painful (thankfully).
Well he just went again (wasn't painful at all, only a few drops in the toilet too), but when I cleaned him up, the stool on the toilet paper was green and mucusy with a couple of darker green/brown streaks... resembling the type of snot when you have a cold...
Is this normal?
Another doctors appt?
As I said, he's fine in himself, eating fine, drinking loads, peeing normally (clear pee, not yellow), sleeping well at night, no temp etc).
Just unsure if this is normal with a bug or not?
Thanks in advance
