Hoping the picture posts...

Rash on my Ten Month Old. This is what it looked like this morning. On the thighs, tiny bit on neck and small amount on tummy. It's now on all parts of the legs, tummy and chest. Although it has spread, the red spots don't look quite so red... They don't appear to be raised and they are very smallish. No temperature. Done the glass test; rash disappears.

Will see how it is in morning and maybe phone Doctors but just wondered if anyone had any ideas...

No idea...it's not warm enough to be heat rash. I'd ask pharmacist in the morning.

ohgawdwhat · 07/05/2019 22:34

I wondered at first about some kind of heat/ sweat type rash as we had a long car journey yesterday and he was strapped into the car seat for quite some time so wondered if he'd got all hot and sweaty where the straps were but as it hasn't gone yet I wondered if it could be something else

It looks like the viral rashes that DD gets when she's a bit run down and have resulted in a few panicked visits to the GP or A&E

Phone the GP in the morning and ask for an appointment. Or phone 111 for advice now.

Are there any in the neck? Maybe chicken pox.

ohgawdwhat · 08/05/2019 08:42

this is what it looks like today

its worse on the legs than anywhere else but can still be seen faintly on other areas like the torso

Looks like chicken pox.

SchrodingersBrexit · 08/05/2019 12:38

What has the doctor said?

NoNewsisGood · 08/05/2019 12:44

Looks like eczema. Could have been caused by the heat. Is it raised?

ohgawdwhat · 08/05/2019 13:30

It is slightly raised yes

Some of the marks on the legs look a little scabby now but some still just red spots

Marks on torso, face and arms are still incredibly faint and barely noticeable compared to the legs

I thought chicken pox maybe

But saw the dr about an hour ago and she thinks some kind of viral thing thatll clear up on his own and she said hes fine to go Nursery tomorrow

ohgawdwhat · 08/05/2019 13:38

Though it looks worse now than it did at the doctors

The ones on his face were barely noticeable but I can see them much better now we are home

Should I let the nursery know before taking him in tomorrow? Just to give them the heads up

my daughter and i have eczema its not that.Maybe chicken pox ,if they get itchy porridge in a pair of old tights.Place in very hot water in the bath let soak 5 mins then add cool water to a washing temp.Having a nice bath in oats is nice

molmill · 08/05/2019 13:53

Could be an allergy to something, I get those spots if I wear clothes that are washed in a different detergent.

Heymummee · 08/05/2019 13:54

My baby just had the exact same thing and the dr said it was a reaction to a virus.
I’d take them to the GP just to rule anything else out. I thought it was chickenpox at first, but within a day it’s quite obvious when it’s the pox and this rash stayed the same for a few days, no scabbing or itching.
