6 year old collapsed and fainted

My 6 year old DD was sitting on my knee before breakfast this morning (I was sitting on the floor). She started acting a bit weird and then suddenly her face got all sweaty. She got up and just collapsed, crashing into the floor. It was really scary. I called the doctor and they said it's quite common, and might be because it was hot yesterday. It was quite hot in her room this morning - her clock said 24 degrees. I am a bit worried, though, as it was so scary to see and nothing like this happened last summer or when we were camping in France last year - when it was much, much hotter (it reached 30 degrees in her room at one point).

She seems fine now but was scared to go to school in case it happened again. I did not know what to do.

The doctor made an appointment to check her over with a nurse today. Should I be worried? (I am quite an anxious person. I keep replaying it in my head, it was so scary). I know you can't really ask the internet for health advice but I just wondered if this sort of thing had happened to anyone else before. We haven't done anything different over the past few days other than she has been trying to sleep without pull-ups, so we vaguely wake her up around 10.30 every night for a wee. Surely this would not cause her to faint like this, though?

Could it be low sugar levels if it was before breakfast? Sorry don’t have any real experience but didn’t want to ignore. Have you been to the nurse now?
