Hi everyone just wondered if anyone can recommend some eczema products .
Been given oilatum for the bath and diprobase cream and it doesn’t seem to be clearing up on my babies chest. It’s no worse but it’s not really improving it either. Still has red patches all over chest and arm pits.
I’ve tried aveeno and that again didn’t worsen it but also didn’t make it better.
I’m using a non bio and have switched to the baby white Leonor .... again no improvement .

I tried epiderm in the small pot and that was the worst , he literally was covered head to toe in sore skin! :(

Just don’t know what else to try.
He is formula fed, aptamil x

Follow. Same situation - although doctor has given me several creams to try on my DS. Keen to find out recommendations for washing powders.

Fairy non bio is the only one my son can use. He is so bad he gets DLA for his condition.

It's trial and error. No one can say "x or y works" because what works for us won't necessarily work for you. And more importantly what works for us today may not work tomorrow but might start working for you.

You need to go back to the gp, get a referral to a dermatologist and keep a diary. List all foods, activities and anything you child comes into contact with which could be a trigger and try to find out if there is anything that could be exacerbating the condition.

Most common triggers are dairy and egg. Can you try a non-dairy formula?

i wouldn't use oilatum as it contains lanolin which can be a trigger

emulsiderm does the same job without the lanolin

i would aslo ask for steroid cream. even though our instinct is to not want to use it it helps. A good period of time using it along with the emollients will get it under control. then keep moisturising.
every time you change a nappy-moisturise.

it's a right pain in the arse but it helps.

only have cotton next to their skin.

Visit www.cosicare.co.uk we are an up and coming business that is dedicated to creating tools for parents and children to use when dealing with Eczema.

Our tool combines instant cold with satisfying texture that kills the itching sensation and soothes the skin before a child feels the need to scratch :)

My little brother has Eczema and the worst thing you can do is scratch it, this helps to fight that urge and keeps the surface of the skin nice and cool.

We also have an instagram account @eczematoys where you can keep in the loop of any new products.
