Hi All

My daughter had the dreaded sickness bug last Wednesday and was feeling better by the Saturday night. Fast forward to the Monday she started being sick again at night and fell asleep and slept all night, woke up and was her normal self all day. Again Tuesday night around 7pm she started to go downhill again and was sick 4 times fell asleep and never woke at all. Wednesday I took her to see our emergency GP who had a look at her throat, ears etc and said they were very red and wanted to treat with Abx as she was being sick. Started the course immediately after we received them and she never vomited at all on Wednesday night, today she has went back to square one, has been sick twice and slept from 6:45 waking once for around 5 minutes.

Can ears and throat cause this? I have pretty bad anxiety and can't seem to calm myself. Hope someone can help, I thought after a few doses of Abx she would start to pick up but seems to be getting worse. HELP!

What is your dd? If not an infant then I can't see an ear infection causing vomiting, does she have a temp or anything with it? If not I'd say the two are unrelated. I have had occasions where my ds now age 4 has had a bug and recovered but then a few days later thrown up again or started with more diarreah again etc. Does there seem to be any type of food that she didn't eat on the sat/sun/wed when she didn't throw up compared to the other days she did? It can take a while for little ones tummys to settle down after bugs especially if it's their first time having it. I would stick to plain foods for her, toast, bananas things that are easy to digest. Does she drink milk in the evening? This could be trigging an upset tummy as dairy is hard to process after a bug for little ones.
