Daughter worrying

Hi not sure where to put this but thought this may be the best fit!
My daughter is 9 and usually very happy, involved in activities, and the usual things a 9 year old is like! However once she goes to bed she seems to be overly worrying about things last night she was almost hysterical with tears as she tried to explain she was worried about someone breaking in and taking her nannas things ( her nana died a couple of years ago and they were very close) or there is a fire and she won't know how to get out or again save her nanas things she has. These episodes especially at bedtime seems to happen at least once or twice a week. I know she's still quite sad about her nana and could her worrying stemmed from her bereavement? I want to help her and also don't want it to become a bigger issue as she grows up
Any advice?

I would say try and get her some bereavement counselling. I had my first panic attack a year after my dad died (I was 11) and they have never really gone away. I didn't think I wanted any counselling then as I was so young, but looking back, maybe it would have helped?

Get the book
What to Do When You Worry Too Much

Book by Dawn Huebner

And get her bereavement therapy
