Alternatives to Whole Milk after breastfeeding

Hi All, my baby is 13 months and suffers from constipation. We're seeing GP about that but I have been expressing all her milk for her since day 4, she couldn't latch with tongue tie and couldn't when it was cut (8 weeks later!). I am so done with expressing, especially now I am back at work, but I have been told cows milk is likely to make her constipation worse. I've seen online oatly barista is recommended in cases of cows milk allergy and I may try this, has anyone else tried it or have you used alternatives to whole milk for your baby? Need to put down the pump :|.

Many cultures don't drink milk at all once breastfeeding stops so you don't HAVE to try any specific alternatives if you are delivering calcium, vitamin D etc. via other means.

You could try cow's milk and stop it if it does seem to make the constipation worse?

We use oatly milk (not barista) for cows milk allergy it's much more expensive than cows milk. If I were you I'd see if you can use cows milk without it causing a problem.

Our Dietitian advised full fat cows milk is the best for babies as long as they haven’t got CMPA.

If a baby/child has CMPA the next best thing nutritionally is Alpro Soya 1-3+. People get Oatly barista because they prefer the taste or have soya allergy, but it doesn’t have the vitamins/fat content that children are advised to have and is seen as 3rd choice behind cow and soya 1-3x
