Headaches and slight temperature?

Ds is 8 and had to have a day off school about a fortnight ago because he was hot to touch and had a horrible headache, wanted all the lights off. It only lasted one day and then he was fine.
Have just been called to collect him from school with the same symptoms. Is it likely to just be two separate virus/bug things or could their be a link?

He is definitely iller this time so I think probably no link.

how is he I would see a GP

He managed to have some milkshake at dinner time, didn't feel up to food. Has mostly slept on and off all day. Still hot and says he aches all over and it feels like his eyes are burning but headache seems less of an issue now.

He is still really floppy, managing to drink, eat a little but complaining of a sore throat, stiff neck- it looks like he may have tonsillitis. Will call the GP tomorrow. What's the best way to get food into him? I've offered soup, cereal, milkshake etc but he isn't keen

Frozen fruit juice lollies? Might soothe his throat. But if hes floppy and complaining of a sore neck it might be worth seeing if you get seen at an OOH today? Or ring 111?

Floppy, stiff neck and temperature? I think a call to 111 and to have him seen urgently is what I'd be doing
Hope it's nothing serious but you can't be too careful

The neck pain is exactly where his glands are swollen. Temperature is just over average but much less than it was and he has no light sensitivity or rashes, will keep an eye and will absolutely call 111 if anything changes.
Fruit juice ice lollies are a good idea, thanks
