What could this be? Vomiting 2yo

A week ago dd (2) started complaining of a tummy ache, it lasted about 1/2 days and on one of those night she was very restless. We brought her into our bed and she kept making wretching noises but was never actually sick.

After that fine most of last week.

Cut to Friday night where she wouldn't sleep, kept saying her belly hurt. Was in obvious pain. She had roughly 3 hours sleep the whole night. And was sick.

Took her to OOH gp on Saturday morning, who prescribed movicol. He thought it was probably due to constipation because her poos have been a bit "nuggety" ( for want of a better word).

She was totally fine yesterday day (tired obviously but running around, and happy). Totally happy and rested today.

This evening 1.5 hours after dinner she was complaining of stomach aches again. She did 3 loosish poos in the space on about an hour. Really uncomfortable and crying. Finally get her to rest on me, when she proceeds to projectile vomit everywhere.

So, this seems a bit tenuous. But the first time after she complained of stomach aches a week ago she'd had salmon for dinner, Friday night she had salmon for dinner. Tonight she had fish fingers. Am I grasping to think that there could be a correlation?

She's had all things before, so not new to the diet.

I did read on the movicol slip that you can have side effects of vomiting. But she'd had mild versions of this twice before she had started taking the movicol. I don't know if it's a total coincidence and it's just the first two occasions could be put down to constipation discomfort and straining, and this last one down to a movicol side effect?

Well it might be worth leaving out fish for the next week or two and see how she goes. You could try a small amount again and see what happens. I wouldn't mention the possible connection to her though. I had an upset stomach after fish as a small child and wouldn't touch it again until I was in my twenties!

Good plan. They do pick up on everything.
