Acting like a high fever but normal temperature?

I'm wondering if anyone can advice. My toddler is behaving exactly like he does with a high fever. Glassy eyes, refusing food, wanting to lie on me or the floor, kind of floppy, whimpering, breathing fast. But his temperature is normal? I'm wondering if maybe it's just a case of waiting for the temperature to rise or something else? Anyone experienced this?

Ring 111 and get them to assess his symptoms. Do it now.

I would ring the gps or 111 for advice. Do you know what your toddlers 'normal' temperature Is? My son has always had a low temperature so high for him is most people's normal!

Fuck 111.
Are you saying that he is hardly conscious?
Glassy eyed, floppy, whimpering, elevated respiration. Is his heart rate up/thready?
999 now.

Christ no, he's not barely conscious. This is just how he acts when he has a fever. He's currently sat up watching tv. I don't think this is an emergency.

Someone doesnt have to have a temperature to be very poorly.

The symptoms he has says a emergency gp appointment at the very least

Just to update, he is fine. Had a huge drink and really perked up, maybe he was dehydrated. I've read that before a fever starts, theh can have feverish symptoms too, and if whatever they had was mild it can pass before the fever sets in so maybe something like that.
