My 3 year old has a constant hoarse voice, in 2 years he has had only a few weeks where his voice has been normal.
He doesn't shout anymore then another 3 year old, has no known allergies or no coughs or colds for a while.
But when he does get a cold he always gets croup so not sure if that is connected.
He has been seen by ent and if still the same in Nov he will have to have a camera down his throat under General.
Just wondering if any of your children has had the same and why?
Tia

@Daffodils07 hi just wondering if everything was ok with your son in the end. My 2.5 year old has had the same problem the last few months. She’s been referred to ent but I’m googling worrying myself and would appreciate some advise from other mums in here. Thanks.

Hi, I'm the op of this thread.

My son did end up having a tube dome his throat to check the vocal cords etc.
All was fine so they arranged some speech & language therapy to help train his voice to reduce the hoarseness.

He is now 7 and his voice is fine, its very unlikely it is any thing serious and most likely a virus or the way they overuse the vocal cords.

@Fml1980 thank you soooo much for your reply. I feel a lot better now knowing this is common and sooo glad your son is ok and healthy Smile xx
