Does anyone know much about this. I'm. It sure whether I'm being ridiculous and neurotic in my desperation to find answers to my daughters problems or not. A few years ago I was laughed at by a GP for raising it but as time goes by I keep coming back to it.

She is 11 and was born with a double sacral dimples. They did an ultrasound on the spine at a few weeks old and had no causes for concern but in her 11 years she has had multiple UTIs, bowel issues with constipation and urgency, she often struggles with painful legs which I have always put down to growing pains, a very awkward gait, constantly trips over her own toes and abnormally high arches.

On paper she ticks all he boxes, but as I say, was laughed at when I mentioned to GP years ago.

Am I a mad neurotic mum? Please be honest. I'm so desperate to find out what's going on with the bowel and bladder issues and deal with it that perhaps I am reaching.

She has a paediatric referral which we are waiting for but who knows how long it will take Sad

Just to clarify, not expecting anyone to say yes she does or no she doesn't have it. Just any experiences that might help me think through it and In talking to paediatrician.

Thanks.

I have no experience of this, but a quick Google shows me that you are totally reasonable to consider this diagnosis based on her symptoms, and should therefore not have been laughed at by your GP.

I hope your referral cmes through soon. Is it worth ringing the admissions office to ask where she is in the queue? I have often been offered a cancellation when I have done this.

My understanding is that they do ultrasound babies and it is used as a diagnostic tool. However, things have changed for your daughter, so do simply mention all that you have on here. Good luck.
