Firstly just let me say that I'm not a pervert or a freak or anything else I've been called on another forum for attempting to ask for advice on this matter. I'm simply a concerned mum.

My ds is nearly 8. His penis has never grown, or grown really minimal. Its the same size it was when he was 3. Over the years I've seen other ones, my 2 stepsons and friends kids, and they are all a lot more developed looking that my ds, even my dss2 who is 3 years younger.

Is this normal? I coparent with a narcissistic ex who would not take kindly to me suggesting we see a medical professional about this as he would see it as an attack on his own manhood.

Again, not a pervert. Thanks.

Don't tell the ex. Just take your son to the GP.

NonJeNeRegretteRien · 04/09/2018 20:49

Hm, have heard before of a boy’s penis not growing properly due to the foreskin (I think) and therefore it was necessary for him to have a circumcision.

NonJeNeRegretteRien · 04/09/2018 20:50

So yes go to GP to talk if you are concerned

hotstepper4 · 04/09/2018 20:53

That's the problem. I can't. The ex gets a text everytime I make a Dr appointment and insists on being involved. One time ds came out of school crying with earache, I immediately took him to the Dr and 5 mins after making an appointment my ex was on the phone shouting at me for not consulting him before taking ds to the Dr.

Sorry, pressed send.

I once had a relationship with a man who had a micro penis, and it was problematic for him sexually as an adult. He has since had a child with his wife via assisted conception (it could have been home insemination for all I know of course), which is wonderful news. Penetrative sex was impossible for him.

I always wondered whether there was any medical intervention possible when he was younger, but never broached the subject with him.

AssassinatedBeauty · 04/09/2018 20:54

I would take him anyway and not pick up calls from your ex.

SilverHairedCat · 04/09/2018 20:55

Why does he get a text? Can you explain the situation to the practice manager and ask for support?

BigBlueBubble · 04/09/2018 20:55

Penis size is hereditary. Was the ex small? I’d just take your son to the GP without telling the ex.

imsorryiasked · 04/09/2018 20:57

Go to the go and ask for ex's number to be relived and change it to yours. Or register with another go.
However ds is nearly 10 and ours only in the last few months that his penis has grown so not necessarily an issue for your ds

hotstepper4 · 04/09/2018 20:59

Tbh yes he was on the small side. This is why he would see it as a personal attack. The reason he gets texts is because he has residency. We have 50/50 but ex lives literally next door to the school we wanted to get ds into, so we used that as his residential address to get him in. So all his medical details are also registered to ex address.

If the ex was small then your DS might be small too. Usually if there’s a problem with the foreskin it would cause pain. It sounds like there’s nothing wrong in a medical sense, you’re just worried about it being small?
