Sickness nightmare

Just after some advice, not quite sure of what to do.

Last Monday, my nephew had a sickness bug which my daughter ended up having too.

She was sick 3-4 times the Monday night, under the weather Tuesday. Sick once Tuesday night. Wednesday and Thursday night was fine. Friday night she suddenly was sick once in the night. The same Saturday, Sunday and Monday night too! Just sick the once!

She's fine in herself, moans a little about tummy ache and no temperature.

It's as if whatever she's eaten that day is settling on her tummy and all coming back up at night so isn't being digested.

I'm only concerned as she has 2 nights of being fine after the bug then starting again Friday night but just once a night since. It's been a nightmare!

Do I take her doctors!?

If she's fine in herself and eating and drinking fine throughout the day Id probably give it another week. Have you tried main meal at lunchtime and an early light tea (something like soup w v little fibre/bulk)?

Came here to look for advice after our 6 year old daughter has been sick again in 3 weeks. First time started around August 4th, just before we were going on holiday. Seemed to ease up after 2 days so we went to France, but she started vomiting again, mostly first thing in the morning, before being somewhat herself the rest of the day. We ended up coming home 8 days early, saw the doc who couldn't see anything wrong. She prescribed a child-friendly Gaviscon liquid and a bland diet (digestive biscuits). The vomiting stopped 2 days later and she was fine for 2 weeks. We've just come back from a bank holiday camping trip and she vomited again in the night and has been sick each time after some food today (about 3 times). No temperature or other symptoms.

I feel a bit sick in my stomach but it could be nerves/anxiety. I am naturally health anxious. But I did wonder if I also had a bug which, given my age (41) meant it's not presenting as bad as my daughter.

A number of people I know have had stomach bugs this year which have been less acute but the discomfort has lasted for 3+ weeks. I often wonder if there's something more to it.

Could she be constipated OP and PP?

Oellph · 28/08/2018 15:48

Nope, no constipation. If it continues for a few days we'll go back to docs, but frustrating and worrying when it seems repeated and unknown.

Hi OP and PP,
I’ve found this thread after searching for repeated sickness. How is your daughter, and have you found anything out? My 3 yr old son has had similar, sick a couple of weeks ago, then ok. Sick once last Tues, lethargic and tired for 2 days(was writhing around at night with bad tummy), then better By Thursday, and now has been vomiting for 2 days, (no d), but v lethargic, curled up on his tummy a lot, and quiet in between sickness (unusual). He’s a bit better today, eating more and hasn’t been sick, but complaining of stomach pains and nausea. No temp. Just wondered if anyone has had any results on this, not sure if I should make doc app.

Daughter got better following last few occurances after bank holiday. Was very strange and seems that time was the main healer.

Consider the doctor if only for peace of mind. They never criticise where children are involved.
