My DS had it although not too bad. Eurax seemed to help with the itching - we were given it on prescription but you can get it OTC.

Hi! My 8 year old DD also been diagnosed with this. More little spots keep appearing... So doesn't look like it's going away any time soon. Didn't think there was any 'cure'?

This worked for us & my eldest had it really badly. Also don't share clothes or towels until you've got rid of it.

My son had this too. Lasted at least a year but went away all by itself. He used to cover it with a tubigrip as he was self-conscious of it at school. Other than being unsightly however it didn't bother him.

One of mine be had it. I would advise ignoring it. It will go away.

Oh thanks Chips! Interesting info!

DD had this two years I'd guess and they got really big and we're on her bottom so uncomfy when sitting down st the end. DB is a doctor and suggested picking at them sonthe immune system
Kicked in - it worked ! They went so fast we couldn't believe it! Did the same for DS as he developed then and they'd been and gone within 2 months

By the way whatever crap you squidgy out of the spots just get rid as infectious - we cleaned the area afterwards too - I think the one that really killed my DDs was where my husband picked it and it really bled - horrible but worth it when they literally disappeared in front of our eyes!

I always was wash my DS with kids Sanex (especially his face). Since his last outbreak a couple of years ago, it's been kept away with Sanex

I tried everything. For ages. GP was dismissive.

In the end I scratched them, to take the head off, which means any cream gets straight into the body and stimulates the body to attack the virus,

and then put molludab on them, which stung. Ds2 did NOT like it.

But they were gone within days. Best thing I ever did.

My little boy had this on his face. Started with one on his eye and within weeks had about 50 covering his face and neck. We tried every cream out there and nothing worked...we kept getting told it would go on its own. 18 months later one burst or was caught while he was in bed and a little scab formed. Three weeks later they were all gone- just red marks left on his little face which faded quickly. I agree with the lady who said pick one. It was the only thing that worked for us x
