Oh I'm very stressed. My poor little boy has just had his 8 week jabs. He's crying non stop. Just looking for a bit of motivation from other mummy's/ daddy's so I don't lose the plot xxx

Give him some calpol if you haven’t done so already

Try to relax - he’s fine. He’s just out of sorts. You need to stay relaxed.

Let him do what he needs to do tonight to relax. We kept our little one up with us, let him lay on me to sleep, just go with it for 24hrs.

Once he’s had some sleep he will be bright as a button tomorrow, promise!

Have you given him a dose of baby paracetamol? It helps after the imms.

WooYa · 17/07/2018 20:31

My little boy had his 16 week ones today. He's just cried himself to sleep on me 😢

ThaiRedCurry · 17/07/2018 20:51

@Wildlingofthewest yeah he's had his two dose allowance. He's finally clocked off and is asleep (swaddled and on the sofa naughty mummy) it's awful isn't it as you feel you can't help them and get so frustrated at the screaming.
Thank you for posting ladies I like the support x

Bless him. He will be fine. Just let him sleep and try to relax. Your doing a good job mama Smile

tenbob · 17/07/2018 20:55

Big hugs, it's horrible isn't it

Lots of skin to skin, cuddles and feeds
He will be back to his old self very soon Thanks

Smurfybubbles · 17/07/2018 21:02

We had this two weeks ago it's tough but he'll be fine, lots of hugs and naps on you will help him settle.

The advice from the nurse was to give three doses at least 4 hours apart which we did but I had to give another dose the next morn as he was on fire! They can have a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours. Keep taking his temp as the fever can pop back up again after a while!

Round 2 is in 2 weeks Confused

VelociraptorRex · 17/07/2018 21:11

Oh bless you, he'll be fine Thanks lots of cuddles and if he's had all his calpol if you have any worries give your GP or HV a call. He'll be bright as a button tomorrow! Mine slept through the night after his jabs, frightened the life out of me didn't poke him to wake him up honest but he was right as rain after every set of jabs.

IfYouDontImagineNothingHappens · 17/07/2018 21:12

Skin on skin is good too!
It gets much easier quickly

ThaiRedCurry · 17/07/2018 21:23

@VelociraptorRex haha that made me laugh out loud!!
I can't believe they slept through the night after jabs.
I'm just taking it second by second hopefully he will be my happy little boy again tomorrow x

Grin yup he did it with both first sets of jabs, I woke up after a blissful 5 hours sleep to realise he hadn't woken up and panicked, checked DP wasn't watching me and prodded him a bit until he woke up (don't do that, good saying: let sleeping babies sleep!)

VelociraptorRex · 17/07/2018 21:26

Hope the giggles eased the stress a bit, it gets overwhelming doesn't it Thanks

StepsRoadmum · 17/07/2018 21:32

Poor little thing. Lots of cuddles and keep him as dosed up on calpol as you can. Skin to skin helped calm my DS and lots of breastfeeding. Hope you get some sleep and he's better tomorrow x

WooYa · 17/07/2018 21:50

He's asleep but I can't stop staring at him 🙄😢 I'm going to try and get my head down for the inevitable 3am wake up call, hope you get sleep too! (and the next set of jabs are easy too! My little one didn't even cry for them ones) x
